Courthouse Weddings: Simple, Special, and Beautiful
There’s something so meaningful about a courthouse wedding — the simplicity, the intimacy, and the pure focus on your love and commitment to each other. If you’re dreaming of a day that feels genuine, heartfelt, and stress-free, a courthouse ceremony might be exactly what you’re looking for.
As a wedding photographer, I’ve captured so many courthouse weddings for couples who wanted to make it official in a way that felt true to them. And on a personal note, I chose to elope myself (not at a courthouse, but in a small, simple setting), and I loved every moment of it. We made our day special with a photographer to document it, a small dessert for the two of us, and it was absolutely perfect.

Jordyn & Jordon
Jordyn and Jordon’s wedding day at the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth was such a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple. The historic courthouse provided the perfect mix of elegance and sentiment for their intimate courthouse wedding. From the moment I arrived, you could feel the excitement in the air. They shared a quiet first look outside before their ceremony, and it was one of those moments that instantly reminded me why I love photographing days like this. The way they looked at each other said everything.
Jordon looked sharp in his three-piece suit, choosing a jeweled brooch in place of a boutonniere (I'm obsessed and would love to see more of this!!) that made his look feel personal and timeless. Jordyn carried a bouquet that included small portraits of loved ones who couldn’t be there in person, which was such a heartfelt detail. I adore when couples include special touches that make the day unique to them, and memorable.
Their day was intimate, intentional, and filled with meaning from start to finish. Every choice they made reflected what truly mattered to them: love, family, and creating moments they would never forget. Being part of their Fort Worth courthouse wedding and capturing these moments at the Kimbell Art Museum felt like such an honor. Jordyn and Jordon are such a beautiful example of how personal and emotional an intimate wedding can be, and I loved documenting every second of their story.
